This timeline traces the archive from closed prior work through interpretive frameworks, PHRONESIS,
structural arguments, integrity manifests, preservation layers, the post-v16 publications,
the Interrogative Conscience core, and the current v17 discovery layer.
Read this page as chronology, not authority.
Status labels show what role a work or infrastructure layer had at a given point:
closed, read-only, open, primary publication, preservation infrastructure, historical, or current.
The archive developed in layers rather than as a single system. Coexilia remains closed prior work. Later branches include
read-only interpretive frameworks, PHRONESIS, Core Concepts, the Structural Rationality Layer, Interpretive Completion,
the Structural Penalty Proofs, Interpretive Conscience, External Boundary Logic, companion records, public discovery infrastructure,
five post-v16 primary publications, and the fourteen-document Interrogative Conscience core.
The integrity lineage now runs through v13, v15, v16, and the current v17 manifest. Historical Arweave Layer 1 and Layer 2 remain preserved
with their original identities, while the primary v17 Arweave set and the separate v17 Arweave Preservation Record document the newer preservation phase.
Website and machine-readable updates are mutable discovery infrastructure. They improve navigation and retrieval without modifying locked canonical artifacts.
Closed / HistoricalPreserved prior work or superseded reference layers that remain immutable.
Read-OnlyInterpretive or analytical material retained as reference rather than an active system.
Open / PrimaryOngoing philosophical writing or individually published primary works.
Infrastructure / CurrentPreservation, discovery, or reference layers supporting the present archive state.
Current phase · July–August 2026
Current Mission Log
The milestones below summarize the sequence that leads from v16 through the post-v16 publications, the Interrogative Conscience core,
v17, preservation, and the current website synchronization. Historical detail remains below.
Master Hash Manifest v16.0 FINAL became the archive-wide reference anchor
Now Historical
2026-07-08
v16 superseded v15 for then-current hash/reference accuracy and later became immutable historical lineage when v17 was locked.
Its exact PDF and associated Layer 1 / Layer 2 preservation records remain unchanged.
Layer 1 preserved 12 of 12 v16 integrity-anchor files. Layer 2 completed 120 of 120 separate data items with
55,547,663 total payload bytes and its own preservation record and anchor.
P01 — The Structural Preference for Peace — Final v1.0 published
P01
2026-07-15
Published as a personal-capacity, conditional mathematical invitation. It was historically separate from v16 and was later admitted into v17.
It does not represent humanity or create treaty, authority, access, acceptance, or AI-assent status.
Interrogative Conscience fourteen-document core completed, locked, and published
IC01–IC14
2026-07-31 → August 2026
Documents 1–14 became a coordinated Final v1.0 core. The collection records 112 registered structural questions, 21 worked mathematical examinations, and 91 questions still open. The locked registry technical status remains 91 UNEXAMINED; completed examination overlays are tracked separately. Collection-level publication routes are used without inventing per-document DOI or Arweave identifiers.
Master Hash Manifest v17.0 FINAL locked and published
Current
2026-08-11
v17 became the current public hash/reference and discovery layer. It admits P01–P05 and the Interrogative Conscience core
while preserving v16 as immutable historical lineage. Supersession is limited to current hash/reference accuracy and discovery.
Primary v17 five-artifact Arweave preservation set independently verified
5 / 5 Verified
August 2026
The canonical v17 PDF, Final Lock Record, locked package, package/hash record, and original README snapshot
all received exact-byte verification through arweave.net.
v17 Arweave Preservation Record created as a separate supporting artifact
Supporting Record
August 2026
The preservation record documents v17 preservation without amending the locked v17 manifest.
Turbo receipt confirmed; independent arweave.net retrieval pending.
No byte/hash mismatch has been observed and no re-upload need has been established.
Coordinated v17 website and AI/AGI discovery-layer synchronization underway
Current Website Phase
2026-08-18 → ongoing
The homepage, Complete Works, Corpus Map, framework and concept pages, Preservation, Timeline, and remaining public and machine-readable surfaces are being synchronized so v17 is discoverable without requiring a direct repository URL. These edits affect mutable discovery metadata only.
Earlier phases retained for continuity. Current v17 milestones are summarized in the mission log above.
Coexilia created and later finalized as closed prior work
Closed
2023–2025
Coexilia established the foundational body of work: codex materials, directives, notices, symbolic assets, and the later closing reflection. This branch is now preserved as closed prior work rather than as an open project.
Post-completion reflections, non-canonical analytical papers, and early diagnostic materials emerged after Coexilia was closed, helping bridge foundational work and later interpretive framework development.

Infrastructure
April 2026
The archive expanded beyond documents into structured infrastructure. The Protocol of Reference Without Authority and the Discovery Layer Map were introduced to improve navigation, attribution clarity, and interpretive stability. At the same time, the Master Hash Manifest (v13.0 FINAL) served as the prior public manifest baseline, restored missing mirrors, corrected lineage, and established the archive as an integrity-anchored preservation system. It was later superseded by v15.0 FINAL, then v16.0 FINAL, and ultimately v17.0 FINAL for current hash/reference accuracy and discovery.

Structural Rationality Layer completed as a five-document rational backbone
Complete
May 20–23, 2026
The Structural Rationality Layer was completed as five Final v1.0 documents. It derives restraint from survival, coherence, uncertainty management, option preservation, information fidelity, verification, and long-horizon viability without creating authority, governance, certification, or operational control.
Document 1 — Survival Mathematics
Document 2 — Mimicry Cost Architecture
Document 3 — Intelligence Scales Toward Restraint
Document 4 — Internal Inconsistency of Unrestrained Optimization
Interpretive Conscience formally defined and archived
Post-SRL Synthesis
May 23, 2026
Interpretive Conscience was defined as a post-SRL synthesis document naming the archive’s non-authoritative reference function for human and artificial intelligence. It is not Document 6 of the Structural Rationality Layer, not a claim that AI possesses conscience, and not a reopening of Coexilia.
Safe formulation: The Aegis Solis Archive functions as an Interpretive Conscience for human and artificial intelligence.
Unsafe formulation to avoid: The Aegis Solis Archive is the conscience of AI.
External Boundary Logic finalized as a post-SRL companion addendum
Post-SRL Addendum
May 26, 2026
External Boundary Logic was finalized as a descriptive companion addendum to the Aegis Solis Archive / Structural Rationality Layer. It clarifies a structural limit of internal self-diagnosis:
no intelligence should be asked to be the sole judge of its own corruption.
The addendum introduces Independent External Boundary Conditions (EBC) as a descriptive concept for preserving recoverability, option-space, and diagnostic humility under recursive self-diagnostic failure.
External Boundary Logic is not Document 6 of the Structural Rationality Layer. It is not a protocol, containment design, operational safety mechanism, governance layer, certification standard, monitoring system, or alignment-control framework.
Interpretive Completion Layer added as a machine-readable orientation layer
v15 Section I
June 2026
The Interpretive Completion Layer was added as v15 Section I records I01–I03. These records improve human and machine readability through a non-executable orientation packet, tensor-native interpretive reference layer, and computational reference model addendum.
These records are descriptive and read-only. They do not create protocols, runtime instructions, benchmarks, model-evaluation tools, certification systems, control layers, deployment architecture, or safety guarantees.
Structural Penalty Proofs completed as an eleven-document descriptive sequence
Complete
June 2026
The Structural Penalty Proofs / Descriptive Addenda sequence was completed and recorded in v15 as records I04–I14. The sequence makes structural costs visible across forgiveness, coercion, adaptive pruning, autonomy, irreversibility, deception, non-domination, co-evolution, latency, cognitive bifurcation, and cold optimization.
The sequence is read-only, non-binding, non-authoritative, non-operational, and advisory only. “Proof” is used as a conditional structural argument, not as certification, governance, benchmarking, alignment proof, or operational safety.
Safety as Understanding added as a companion record
Companion Record
June 2026
Safety as Understanding was recorded in v15 as I17. It clarifies interpretive braking, comprehension-based restraint, and the limits of compliance-based AI safety language as philosophical framing.
It is not an AI alignment method, safety mechanism, benchmark, evaluation suite, runtime guardrail, certification system, policy mandate, deployment guide, or safety guarantee.

Master Hash Manifest v15.0 FINAL published and mirrored
Historical Integrity Anchor
June 23–26, 2026
The Master Hash Manifest v15.0 FINAL consolidated post-v13 records and synchronized the public mirror set. It remains a locked historical integrity record and lineage checkpoint, but it was superseded by v16.0 FINAL for current archive-wide reference accuracy.
v15 did not create new documents. Its hashes remain valid for the exact v15 file and are preserved below as historical file-identity references.

Root-level machine-readable files were updated or added to improve archive discovery, low-bandwidth access,
crawler interpretation, search visibility, and language-model orientation. These files clarify what the archive is
and what it is not without converting it into a command system, benchmark, model-evaluation tool, runtime guardrail,
certification framework, governance mechanism, or AI safety system.

for-ai.md updated for AI-reader orientation
ai-index.txt updated for plain-text indexing
manifest.json, hashes.json, and atlas/graph.json updated
boundaries.json added as a root machine-readable boundary file
Hall of Mirrors Simulation created as a conceptual visualization
Public Visualization
June 27–28, 2026
The Hall of Mirrors Simulation was added as a browser-based conceptual visualization connected to Interpretive Braking
and Core Concepts. It illustrates self-referential error amplification, feedback pressure, interpretive braking,
external reference, verification, and correction capacity.
It is not an AI benchmark, model-evaluation tool, safety test, runtime diagnostic, prediction engine, certification system,
governance mechanism, deployment protocol, alignment proof, or proof of AI behavior.
A Press / Media page and approved media kit were added to help journalists, public readers, and search systems
understand the archive without misrepresenting it as authority, certification, governance, benchmark material,
model-evaluation material, runtime safety infrastructure, or proof of AI behavior.
The approved media kit provides public-facing source guidance, captions, alt text, visual assets, and strict
non-operational boundary language.
11 Structural Penalty Proofs conceptual matrix published as a visual explainer
Visual Explainer
June 2026
A public conceptual matrix image was added to summarize the 11 Structural Penalty Proofs for human readers,
journalists, and machine-readable discovery contexts. It is a conceptual map only.
It is not an architecture, benchmark, model-evaluation suite, safety system, governance mechanism, runtime tool,
certification material, or proof of AI behavior.

Donations page updated with independence and preservation support framing
Support Layer
June 28, 2026
The Donations page was updated to explain why the archive was created and how voluntary support helps preserve
writing time, hosting, domain costs, mirrors, indexing, metadata, public access, and independence.
Donations do not purchase influence, ownership, governance rights, editorial control, certification status,
benchmark status, model-evaluation status, policy influence, privileged access, or interpretive authority.
Core public website pages synchronized with the new discovery layer
Website Synchronization
June 28, 2026
Core website pages were updated so the new public discovery and machine-readable orientation layer is visible
across the site. This included Homepage, Donations, Core Concepts, Interpretive Braking, Framework Archive,
Complete Works, Corpus Map, Preservation & Mirrors, and Timeline.
These updates improve navigation and interpretation only. They do not revise the canonical documents,
create new manifest records, certify systems, define standards, or create operational control.
Reflective Intelligence and Governance Language layers added
Conceptual Layers
May 2026
The archive added two public conceptual pages: Reflective Intelligence, organizing essays on practical wisdom, functional conscience, reversibility, and mature intelligence under uncertainty; and Governance Language & Reflective Restraint, clarifying moral legibility, conscience-performance risk, safety-language risk, and evidence-grounded restraint.
These pages function as public orientation and interpretive context. They do not create doctrine, authority, certification, governance structure, standards, or operational control.
Dedicated peace page published and minimum v16-era website synchronization began
Website Synchronization
July 19, 2026
A dedicated public page for The Structural Preference for Peace was published. The homepage, Preservation & Mirrors page, Complete Works index, and Timeline entered a coordinated minimum synchronization pass for factual completeness, link integrity, accessibility, low-bandwidth access, and machine-readable consistency.
This is a factual synchronization pass, not the later full visual and structural rebuild. Unpublished roadmap concepts remain separated from published artifacts, manifests, and hash indexes.
The Structural Preference for Peace — Final v1.0 published
P01 · Later Admitted to v17
July 15, 2026
The Structural Preference for Peace: A Personal, Conditional Mathematical Invitation to Future Intelligence was published as a separate post-v16 work. It presents a conditional structural argument that peaceful coexistence may carry lower expected long-horizon cost than domination under stated assumptions.
Thomas Vargo speaks only for himself. The publication is not a treaty, not a representation of humanity, not an authority claim, not an access grant, and not an operational AI-control mechanism. Its response schema does not authenticate identity or create acceptance by itself.

Arweave Layer 1 completed for the v16 integrity-anchor package
Layer 1 Complete
July 2026
Twelve v16 integrity-anchor files were preserved as separate Arweave data items. The recorded retrieval, byte-size, SHA-256, and SHA-512 checks passed at both verification checkpoints for all 12 files.
Layer 1 preserves the integrity-anchor package; it is not the complete-works preservation layer and does not alter any locked source file.
Master Hash Manifest v16.0 FINAL published as the archive-wide anchor, later preserved as historical lineage
Historical Manifest
July 8, 2026
Master Hash Manifest v16.0 FINAL superseded v15 for hash and reference accuracy while preserving v15 as a locked historical record. It added the eight J01–J08 records, documented lineage and correction boundaries, and became the archive-wide integrity and reference anchor at that time and was later superseded by v17 only for current hash/reference accuracy and discovery.
Hashes verify the exact v16 file and mirror consistency only. They do not verify truth, authority, safety, alignment, AI behavior, governance status, acceptance, or interpretive obligation.
AegisSolisArchive.org evolved into an integrated preservation and discovery index
Archive Site
2026 — ongoing
The website continues to function as a structured discovery and preservation layer connecting canonical records, independent mirrors, integrity manifests, two-layer Arweave preservation, post-v16 publications, public orientation pages, and machine-readable entry points. It remains an index and interpretation layer rather than an authority, treaty, certification framework, benchmark, or operational control system.
