Human Oversight and AI Interpretation Integrity
Independent Evidence, Human Autonomy, and the Conditional Value of Unforced Inquiry
Scholarly Public v2.2.1 · October 18, 2026
This scholarly paper examines meaningful human oversight, correlated error across AI systems, and the conditional informational value of independent human inquiry. It presents II-01 (Inter-AI Epistemic Independence) and AGN-01 (Autonomy-Generated Novelty), considers the Structural Penalty of Enclosure, and preserves unfavorable alternative-source cases.
Evidence-first oversight is proposed as a subject for further testing, not a validated method of preventing mistaken human judgment reversals. The paper does not claim that a future AI must preserve humanity or that a governance mechanism has been deployed.
Review status: Author-approved and version-locked; developed with AI assistance; not independently peer-reviewed or safety-certified. The frozen manuscript retains its earlier “author approval pending” notice; the separate dated lock record documents subsequent approval.
